What You Deserve
Be captured by His worth – Be captivated by the One who is worthy of everything you could ever offer Him.
I was gripped by God's worth after hearing a message given by Heidi Baker. So holy is He. So loving. So generous. So kind. So near. I started wondering, "what offering would ever be fit to thank Him for who He is and all He does? How could the created express enough gratitude to the creator?" We offer Him songs, gifts, time... but even if we offered Him the rest of our lives, would even that be what He deserved? It seems like such a small token of appreciation compared to the vastness of who He is. It is not that He sees us a small or worthless. On the contrary, He takes such delight in us that anything we give Him out of a worshipping heart is of great worth to Him. He's just so big, so great, and so extremely worthy of much more than we could ever fathom. Eternal praise is probably too weak a description of what He is deserving of. It's beyond words. It's truly amazing that this King, in all His majesty, would want to be our friend. And so there is nothing else I would rather do but give Him my everything. He is worth all of it and so much more.
